Clinical Psychology

Molly Igoe, PsyD received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, completing her internship at Riverbend Community Mental Health Center in Concord, NH, followed by a two-year fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. During this training, she saw adults, teens, and children for ongoing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy.  After her fellowship, she remained on staff at UMass in the department of Psychiatry providing therapy to adult and adolescent patients experiencing medical and psychological distress.

Dr. Igoe has been working in the outpatient setting for the past 5 years, building successful practices in Massachusetts and Texas before relocating to Vermont. Dr. Igoe has intensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy with particular emphasis on clarifying how thinking patterns and behavioral responses contribute to well-being. Dr. Igoe believes in the importance of a personalized treatment plan guided by values and focused on long-term goals with Montpelier internal medicine. Therapy often involves exploring the factors that contribute to distress, identifying solutions or coping skills, and implementing a plan to reduce short-term distress while building avenues for lasting fulfillment and happiness. Developing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is paramount in her work and success with patients.

Dr. Igoe is licensed in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Texas. She lives in southern Vermont with her husband and three children where she enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors of the green mountain state.
