Telemedicine Is A Very Effective Way To Receive Treatment
It works. You’ll be seen quicker. It’s often times less expensive. And it’s all from the comfort of your own home.
Unlike other online providers, you’re getting the same board certified psychiatrist with every visit. Our online meeting platform will make it feel like we’re just down the street.

Insurance
Taconic Psychiatry does not accept any insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare. Payment is due at the time of service. Please note, Dr. Pruett is not able to see any patient who is enrolled in Medicare.
Instead, Taconic Psychiatry will provide a superbill that patients can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. While we will provide the required documentation for insurance companies, we make no guarantees about reimbursement.
There are two primary reasons as to why Taconic Psychiatry does not take insurance:
- This allows all of their time to be devoted to patient care. Such as more immediate availability, flexible appointments, responsive communication.
- Maintaining privacy. When dealing with insurance, it’s required to release diagnosis or private information to a third party.
Also, this permits Dr. Pruett and Dr. Stillman to form, develop, and grow a deep relationship with their patients.
Simply put, Dr. Pruett and Dr. Stillman know their services are an investment in mental, spiritual, and emotional well being. By doing this, it supplies them the one resource necessary to ensure this is money well spent–time.
Time to listen.
Time to study.
Time to process.
Time to consult.
Time to collaborate.
Time to help.
And the time to make sure it sticks!
